WHO AM I?
Hey there! My name is Kim, I am a mom of two dynamic (and incredible) teen girls, a registered nurse (RN), and a health and wellness coach based in Milford, OH. I am also a certified personal trainer, nutrition consultant, and weight-loss specialist.
To say I have a love for all things health-related is an understatement!
When I’m not coaching, my absolute favorite thing to do is create experiences with my family and friends. We love hiking, kayaking, floating down the river, going to concerts, bike rides…anything where we actively make memories together.
In my spare time, I listen to the latest podcast or book, constantly seeking ways to improve the balance between today’s fast-paced world and the long-term health of my family and clients.
My experience as a mom and registered nurse has provided an invaluable understanding of what is in the foods we eat and how it impacts our day-to-day and long-term health. But it wasn’t until the birth of my girls that I really took a step back to be aware of what I was feeding my kids…and also me!
Not long after the birth of my second daughter, I thought, “Man, life is downhill from here, with slowing metabolism and gravity…I gotta do something to hold that off as long as possible!” No lie…can’t make that up.
Insert fitness. In addition to feeding my body whole foods, rich in nutrients, I started working out, often with my babies on my chest or beside me on the floor.
Fast forward to 2019, when I returned to nursing school to get my bachelor’s degree. I was in my last course when the project I was working on made a lightbulb go off in my head.
Since then, I have helped over 60 women (and even some men!) learn how to find that balance in their lives as they know it, unlearn old habits, and build that foundation of new, sustainable, healthy habits.Â
Sure, that process also helps them rediscover their waistline, find joy in activities they used to love, have energy to do what they want to do, have that confident feeling back…it’s really nothing short of magic!
I wanted to start helping people PREVENT the disease and injury I had spent the last 18 years fixing in my nursing career. I saw firsthand how taking care of your body can dictate your future.
I was SO sure of this that the very next day I enrolled in the personal training certification, then nutrition consulting, and so on.
Best. Decision. Ever.
K.I.M Keep It Movin' (you see that play on words!?) officially opened in 2021, and I quit my full-time job as a registered nurse to be a full-time trainer and coach.
Ready to start working together?
